Lauren taught human trafficking survivors for a few years at a safe house while living in Louisiana. It wasn’t until she started working firsthand with survivors that she began to understand the importance of trauma-informed approaches when interacting with victims of violence. Lauren was a speaker at ImPACT's 2021 Symposium where she shared her experiences and taught providers how to apply trauma-informed principles to their own practice. Lauren is a teacher at Fairfield Middle School in Henrico, Virginia.
