Cheryl Bodamer





Cheryl Bodamer PhD, RN, MPH, CHSE is an Associate Professor and Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator in the VCU School of Medicine Center for Human Simulation and Patient Safety. She received her PhD in Public Policy and Administration from VCU with a concentration in Health Policy, an MPH from the VCU School of Medicine and a BSN from the VCU School of Nursing. With her expertise in simulation and debriefing, she assists VCU faculty with the development and teaching of courses and evaluation of simulation-based education. In addition, Cheryl is involved in inter-professional team training and in situ simulation at VCU Health to promote patient safety. She has extensive experience in perinatal outreach education and public health surveillance along with clinical practice in both neonatal and pediatric intensive care. She recently became a certified yoga instructor.
