Simone Jaeckl, RN, MSN, PhD candidate



Simone Jaeckl is an RN, MSN, and PhD candidate at the University of Virginia School Of Nursing. Her research is situated at the intersection of health (care), law, and gender-based violence with a focus on human trafficking prevention and intervention, both domestically and abroad. Miss Jaeckl also holds a law degree from the University of Hamburg, Germany, where she was engaged in the prosecution of sex trafficking and related crimes. Miss Jaeckl’s dissertation explores if and how sex trafficking victimization of minors is addressed in the educational setting in Virginia.
