Serwa Ertl M.D. is an Adolescent Medicine physician and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia Teen and Young Adult Health Center. She completed her Adolescent Medicine fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. During fellowship she assisted in the development of a child and adolescent trafficking clinic and published research on the healthcare needs and hospital utilization patterns of sex trafficked youth. Dr. Ertl joined UVA in 2018 and founded the Charlottesville/Albemarle Human Trafficking Task Force. She now serves as the group coordinator.
