David CarlsEN-LaNDY, MD



David Carlsen-Landy is a second-year Psychiatry resident at VCU Medical Center. Prior to residency, he attended Indiana University and then completed his Master's Degree In Biomedical Sciences and Medical Degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. David has a research interest in Children with a history of Criminality and has previously worked to develop a Child Trafficking Curriculum at his medical school. He plans to continue his training by pursuing Fellowships in both Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry with the intention of working in the Juvenile Justice System. Outside of medicine, his interests include exercise, cooking (and eating), and spending time with his wife and pets.
