A health-based approach to human trafficking provides a comprehensive conceptual framework whereby victim-focused, trauma-informed responses can be developed, implemented, and evaluated by all stakeholders interested in combating and ending this emerging public health crisis.
Although this training is tailored for health care providers, everyone who is interested in learning about this over-looked, misunderstood, and underreported form of child abuse is welcome to attend. Learn why sex trafficking is the most common form of human trafficking in the U.S. and how we can stop this egregious human rights violation.
This first-in-the-region training will teach providers how to recognize victims of sex trafficking, provide direct care, and engage in collaborative efforts with medical and non-medical colleagues to provide for the complex needs of youth. Be part of the solution. Law enforcement cannot fight this crime alone. Awareness is Prevention.
We're Better. Together.
